Panasonic Life Solutions India, a leading diversified technology company, has launched its 2026 lineup of Residential Air Conditioners engineered specifically to tackle the country’s extreme weather conditions. Designed for reliable performance, the new range reflects Panasonic’s focus on delivering durable, energy-efficient, and climate-resilient cooling solutions tailored for Indian homes.
Addressing one of the most persistent challenges impacting AC performance in Indian homes, the new range features Panasonic’s DustBuster Technology, an “auto reverse-flow” fan mechanism designed to automatically expel dust from the outdoor unit, helping maintain consistent cooling, better efficiency and long-term durability. With this technology, Panasonic reinforces its focus on delivering air conditioners that perform reliably even in harsh Indian climatic conditions.
The 2026 portfolio comprises 57 new models across segments and price points, combining performance, energy efficiency, and smart functionality to meet the evolving comfort needs of consumers across the country.
Hirokazu Kamoda, Managing Director, Panasonic HVAC & CC India, said, “India’s air conditioning market is at a pivotal inflection point, shaped by rapid urbanisation, rising aspirations, and increasingly extreme weather conditions. With our 2026 RAC line-up, we are introducing smarter, more resilient, and energy-efficient air conditioners that go beyond cooling to create healthier and more comfortable living spaces for Indian households. Building on this launch, we aim to scale our air conditioner volumes to approximately 2 million units by FY28, backed by an expanded portfolio, continued investments in technology and manufacturing, and a stronger presence across emerging markets.”
Abhishek Verma, Head, Product Marketing & Planning, Panasonic HVAC & CC India, said, “With this launch, we are redefining the standards of strong cooling by directly addressing the challenges of heat, dust and tough weather conditions that impact AC performance across India. With 57 new RAC models in CY26, we offer one of the widest portfolios in the industry, spanning over inverter, fixed-speed, smart, hot & cold, and high-capacity solutions. This range further strengthens our commitment to Make in India, focused R&D, and deeper penetration across metro, tier 2, and tier 3 markets.”
The new range includes Panasonic 5-star, 4-star, and 3-star inverter air conditioners, with the 5-star series introducing a premium Amaze Facia design in Dark Grey and Chrome deco, adding a distinctive aesthetic to high-performance cooling. The line-up is available across major retail outlets, leading e-commerce platforms, and the Panasonic brand shop at a starting price of Rs. 32,490/-
The launch will be supported by a nationwide television campaign featuring brand ambassador MS Dhoni, popularly known as “Captain Cool,” reinforcing Panasonic’s positioning around reliable and resilient cooling solutions for Indian households.
With a broadened portfolio and defined growth roadmap, Panasonic is positioning itself to capture a larger share of India’s rapidly expanding residential air conditioning market.
