Dilip Buildcon Ltd, through its joint venture DBL-RBL, has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract worth Rs 268 crore from the Gujarat government for the development of the Ged Barrage project across the Sabarmati River.
The contract has been awarded by the Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpasar Department. The scope of work includes the design and construction of the barrage along with river protection works and associated infrastructure development between the Hirpura barrage and Lakroda weir in Sabarkantha district.
Apart from the construction component, the project also includes a 10-year operation and maintenance responsibility. The execution timeline for the project has been fixed at 24 months.
The latest order further strengthens Dilip Buildcon’s presence in the irrigation and water infrastructure segment, adding to its diversified portfolio spanning roads, urban infrastructure and hydraulic projects.
