The Haryana Government has approved the construction of an integrated railway over bridge (ROB) project in Rewari, aimed at addressing long-standing traffic congestion and improving connectivity across the city. Estimated at over Rs 207 crore, the project will be executed by the Haryana State Roads and Bridges Development Corporation (HSRDC).
The infrastructure package includes the construction of two-lane and four-lane railway over bridges, road under bridges (RUBs), service roads, and other supporting facilities to replace three heavily used railway level crossings. Once completed, the project is expected to eliminate traffic bottlenecks caused by frequent railway gate closures, enabling smoother vehicular movement and enhancing regional connectivity.
In addition to the Rewari project, the State Government has reviewed draft development plans for Narayangarh and Kurukshetra, with a focus on planned urban expansion, efficient land use and future infrastructure development. The proposed plans aim to accommodate rising population demands while supporting sustainable and well-planned urban growth across Haryana.
