Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd (WRTL), the renewable energy EPC arm of the Waaree Group, has secured a Letter of Award (LOA) for the turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a 124 MWp DC solar power project in India.
The project will comprise a 124 MWp DC/88 MW AC solar photovoltaic plant along with a 132/33 kV pooling substation. WRTL will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of the project, covering engineering, procurement, civil works, construction, erection, installation, testing and commissioning of the solar plant and associated electrical infrastructure.
The scope also includes the development of balance-of-system infrastructure and the pooling substation required for power evacuation. The solar assets will be established across multiple project sites, requiring integrated execution across generation, electrical systems and high-voltage infrastructure.
The new order further strengthens WRTL’s utility-scale solar EPC portfolio and adds to its capabilities in delivering large renewable energy projects. The company is also broadening its presence across adjacent infrastructure segments, including transmission and distribution, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and data centre-related EPC projects.
WRTL operates across solar EPC and renewable energy development, with activities spanning the financing, construction, ownership and operation of solar projects. Its portfolio covers rooftop and ground-mounted installations as well as off-site solar farms developed through open-access models, serving commercial and industrial customers.
The latest project reinforces the company’s focus on expanding its role across the renewable energy and power infrastructure value chain as demand for large-scale clean energy and reliable power infrastructure continues to grow.
