Commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Aidrivers for autonomous electric terminal trucks.The company aims to meet the net zero aims of the industry with this partnership.Both companies will utilize their knowledge and expertise for the creation of sustainable autonomous transportation. The pact with the AI-enabled solutions provider will address the net zero emission needs of the port industry.
The company expects the first fleet of vehicles to be operational by next year and shall be produced at the manufacturing facility of Ashok Leyland. Aidrivers and Ashok Leyland are thrilled about their collaboration to develop a specialized autonomous electric terminal truck that is specifically designed to operate autonomously in challenging and rugged port surroundings.
