Four Metro stations of UPMRC to be completed by 2024

The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) is focusing on the Metro construction work at Chunniganj and beyond. Presently, Kanpur Metro runs on a nine-km long elevated corridor, which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Work on the balance length of the 23 km long elevated corridor, which is part of Corridor No-1 extending up to Naubasta is on.

Four underground stations – Nayaganj, Chunniganj, Naveen market, Bada Chauraha – will be constructed in this section. The work is likely to be completed on this corridor by 2024. The second corridor of Kanpur Metro is to be constructed between CSA University and Barra-8. That corridor too is to be completed by 2024, as per reports.
