RCCPL, a subsidiary of Birla Corporation, commissioned its 3.9 million tpa cement plant located at Mukutban in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra. The new plant set up at a total cost of Rs 2,744 crore is supported by a 2.64 million tpa of clinker and 40 MW of captive power supply. The thermal captive power plant is based on Air-Cooled Condenser (ACC) technology to minimise water consumption by 90 per cent.
This is the fourth integrated cement unit of the MP Birla Group and the biggest single line/kiln cement plant in Maharashtra, by capacity.
